This guides the assisted view and colour comparison. The Simulate view has a separate profile selector for exploring how colours may appear to someone else.
Not sure which profile fits?
You can use Hue without knowing your type. The simulations let you explore differences; they are not a vision test. A calibrated screening test or an eye care professional can help you learn your profile. Phone brightness and camera filters cannot diagnose it.

Colour tools do not upload photos or use AI. Tell me more sends one current frame to OpenAI when tapped. In Explain photo, a selected photo is sent only when you tap Send photo & analyse. Photos and explanations stay in page memory and are cleared when you reload.
On your iPhone
Open in Safari over HTTPS and allow camera access. Connect your AirPods as usual, then tap Speak colour to check audio.
For your home screen: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Offline availability depends on your browser’s storage.
About the colour assist
An experimental daltonization filter moves colour differences into other channels. It does not restore colour vision. Lighting, camera white balance and screens affect results.
Comparison is an estimate, not a guarantee. Do not use it for traffic signals or other safety-critical decisions.
Colour science & symbols
Machado (2009) full-deficiency simulation in linear sRGB; simulation-error redistribution for assistance. Comparison uses distance in OKLab after simulation, with a prototype threshold of 0.08. Same means identical sampled RGB values; similar means an original-image OKLab distance below 0.035. These are prototype comparisons, not clinical thresholds.
